GP is the cheapest, light weight and similar to original Beaulieu in its early years (they later developed other bulky, more powerful batteries). They are appropriate for filmmakers who do not shoot much, or who do not want to have the weight and volume of a larger battery. They are made with GP 400 mA NiMh cells (originals were 250 mA, and reached to shoot about 10 cartridges). A full charge reaches to shoot around 12 to 15 cartridges.
These batteries include a new CE certified charger, AC230v, 30/50 Hz, selectable charging current up to 300 mAh, EU plug), more appropriate to their power.

Varta is a long-lasting battery at work, made with NiMh 950 mA Varta cells (high-quality German technology). A full charge reaches to shoot around 15 to 20 cartridges. Includes a smart autoswitching battery charger, CE certified, AC 100/240 volts, 50/60 Hz, 0.9 and 1.8 Ah, EU plug.
