From testedsuper8cameras we continue improving and adding new products, with the aim of helping filmmakers.
After our innovative Bolex base, we now present our MKII improved version with substantial differences based on users feedback. This MKII is suitable for all kind of Bolex H8/H16 including EBM/EL and ESM-motor, for which we have developed a Panasonic Eneloop pro battery kit.
It’s machined from 6082 aluminum, marine grade anodized, it has stainless steel Helicoil on each thread (to prevent erosion on aluminium).
Our new base is available in two colors, Silver (classic and durable) and Black (matches the camera better, although it’s more sensitive), always anodized in marine grade for higher protection.
Comes with stainless steel bracket for Ø15 mm rod bars, and a pair of aluminium bars (150 mm or 250 mm, customer chooses).
Quick release females are easily removable to (if desired) to install provided Arri rosettes and attach arms with grips. In this way, and by installing a shoulder support on the base, we have another possibility of use. In addition, we have added two more Arri side rosettes on circular base, one on each side.
Vario-Switar POE lenses and similar can be used by removing a front piece.
The original Bolex matte box is perfectly compatible with this base.
